Affirmations
 
I look into the mirror for positive affirmations
Am I just a lonely sole of heavenly creation?
 
I sometimes feel that my heart has grown cold
I don’t want to live just to die lonely and old
 
The road can seem forever winding and long
I have to find a place where my heart belongs
 
Soon it will be the eve of the twenty fifth of December
Fond memories are the ones I will try to remember
 
It is a time when friends and family gather close
Try to cherish all of the times that mean the most
 
My gracious heart will soon be on the mend
My love is in the greeting cards that I send
 
See the splendid Christmas tree burning bright
I will take myself out of the darkness into the light
 
A brilliant New Year will be coming soon
Love is a Christmas rose which has yet to bloom
 
I wonder what joys the New Year will bring
Listen to the cathedral bells and hear them ring
 
I think I am going to forge a brand new path
Try to take each step in faith and not look back
 
Think I will carelessly throw caution to the wind
And plant a new hope and allow it to begin
 
I will search for new love on the broad horizon
Allow all of the sad days of the past to be bygone
 
The kind of love I seek is when two hearts are afire
 May the season hopefully bring me one of my desires
 
I will wrap my heart in a carefully tied bow
Still have some seeds of love I need to sow
 
This isn’t just another passing Christmas to me
I just have to open my heart and try to believe
