AFRICA

  • I am an African

    A soldier of my land

    A defender of the earth

The heavens below as the shower quench the soil

But when it has been tamed

The fish-eagle soars to the sky

    My spirit runs free here

I am an African born home for many people

The sweet scent of veld grass in the air

The tang of red soil on my tongue

The majesty of the stin wood

As is basks in the African sun

    Call me home

    I am an African

Yes, Africa…a proud land of majestic people!  Its beauty was conceived in the mind of God.
