After the Battle...

After the battle

there is only silence

numbness runs through me

unsure where to go

for vision is blurred

and nothing feels real

need to recover

lick all of these wounds

then patch one`s self up

still very shaken

from all that`s happened

recriminations

there`s hurt on both sides

lots of tears cried too!

where to go from here?

not to sure of that

to much has been said

hope for the future?

can`t really say now

only time will tell

after the battle

the silence sets in.......
