AFTER LIFE'S SHIPWRECK

AFTER LIFE'S SHIPWRECK

Nothing like a shipwreck 
To change a man's course 
Of life

The Word of God 
Broke through my hardened heart 
Like a wrecking ball 

From the pedestal of pride
My tainted imaginations fall
Thus freeing me of the chains
That had held me bound
A slave to the wizards crystal ball

Now I am free to be me
To live the life, 
He has created for me 

A life of self assistance and love 
Confidence in my walk
Knowing that all of my needs 
Shall be supplied from above 

Blessed are the peacemaker
Of my soul 
His Word has rescued this drifter 
From the freezing cold.
