AFTER LIFE'S SHIPWRECK

AFTER LIFE'S SHIPWRECK

Nothing like a shipwreck
To change a man's course
Of life

The Word of God
Broke through my hardened heart
Like a wrecking ball

From the pedestal of pride
My tainted imaginations fall
Thus freeing me of the chains
That had held me bound
A slave to the wizards crystal ball

Now I am free to be me
To live the life,
He has created for me

A life of self assistance and love
Confidence in my walk
Knowing that all of my needs
Shall be supplied from above

Blessed are the peacemaker
Of my soul
His Word has rescued this drifter
From the freezing cold.

Beautiful ink Wilford. I felt that enlightenment one gets when we open ourselves and gain faith to trust in our maker. A powerful poem
