afternoon drink

afternoon drink

broken wristwatch

someone stopping outside

the window gapes in

watching

calculating droughts and floods

paper bags, plastic bags

spinning drunk inside

legs sprawled on tables

something passes

takes a look

and continues

the fans keep whirring

the ice cubes keep melting

so the song goes on
