wonderfully written. it is a pleasure to read your craft.
Thank you, Poetessdarkly,
I saw these women in interview on BBC world news. One of them, Vimbai, looked into the camera, carrying her M16, and said
She had steel in her voice and steel in her eyes. The elephants are protected
Thanks again
Nigel

Thank you Lodigiana, these women are magnificent and deserve the tribute. Insomnia and BBC world news are great educators.

Dear Nigel,
Great poem.
I want to take a couple of days to ingest it, before I write my poetic response.
Peace and Love,

I shall look forward to it Larry
Dear Nigel,
The poachers come to kill elephants
Take their ivory tusks, and quickly run
But just before they think they've got them
They are slain by the Akashinga's guns
Peaceable Kingdom and Love,
Larry xxx

Dear Larry,
Thank you for that, love it. In truth though while they have made many arrests they have not had to kill many poachers. They receive SAS training which is all about stealth approach. It is amazing how quickly people, who thought they were in empty savannah, drop their guns when they are suddenly surrounded by locked and loaded M16's. Magnificent animals protected by magnificent woman.
Thank you friendΒ
Nigel
Dear Nigel,
Too bad!Β I was hoping they blew them to smithereens, because I am a strong believer in "The Code of Hammurabi-An Eye For An Eye-A Tusk For A Tusk".
Peace, Love, and Slain Poachers,
Larry xxxΒ
P.S.Β I just had a better idea than shooting them.Β Tie them to the ground, and let the elephants trample them.
