Blinded eyes

Blinded eyes

BLINDED EYESΒ

Blinded eyes on healthy brick.Β
Above spring flowers singing new life.Β
Whilst down the road the old man walks,Β
with his sleeping bag and ragged coat.Β
Looking for a place to sleepΒ
in this world that so mocks hope.Β

Nigel Cresswell...

Thank you Lisa. My town is thought of as a "rich" area and the boarded up windows are council owned and intended to be social housing. The land they sit on is obviously worth more than the lives of the homeless.Β

The combination of your picture choice and words is a very strong message about the contradictions of what is important in society. Strong, punchy, thought provoking stuff.

Nigel Cresswell...

Everyone feels sorry for
the homeless.
The windows are still boarded.Β
The homeless are still on the street.Β
