Alien

Alien

Unfamiliar, yet her hair blew in the turbulence of the earths winds.

Her eyes squinted, pupils ballooned as the blazing sun crept

the pit of darkness into the light

humanely, anthropoid.

Unknown despite her fondness for resting amongst the daffodils in spring,

or admiring from her window the snowdrops in winter.

Resembled the shapes the crowded the earth, pumpkin seeds overpopulating

a glass jar

alike, one.

Yet despite her resemblance, distasteful to others.

Her origins stemmed from another world

unearthly, extraterrestrial.

She belonged to a distant land

utopian,

and in her head.
