Poem -

All I Ever Knew

In the dirty rain I hear your voice
Along with the water running down the drive
I sense the doom of destination
The impending restless disaster
That seeks to find me
Just like youΒ
Are you the platform for my pain?
The rope without a knot?
Is it too much to ask for an answer
When my life is so turned out
I never was an educated soul
I had never prized degrees
I took out a PHD on you my love
Now just look what that gave me?
A one way ticket in the dirty rain
A life of regret me nots?
No more like the remorse at a funeral
All I ever knew was youΒ
Look where it took me
To an absolute, no argument,
ruin
'All I ever knew was you
Look where it took meΒ
With my life so turned out
