Alone In Love

Alone In Love

Years gone by, moments  apart not yet are we as one.

I look in bewildered wonder of the reality of the sun.

Loneliness, unfulfillment. Is this why we search our souls?

Is there such a thing as perfect ? Do we really share  one goal?

All I know is my own reality, that I want to hold you near.

That If I could I would be with you, I wait in selfish fear.

If love is indeed, life's one and all most true and wondrous gift.

Then why does my heart feel so alone? Aching as it drifts.
