Along Life's Shore

A sandy beach, oceans of memories keep reappearing as the tide comes in

Washed up life, the oyster, the crab, the sea urchin, and the starfish, told tales of the snail

Imprints of mussels, clams, and a pattern of lightly touched worm swirls, artwork in the sand

A cool water over my feet as I walk the shore of life's many moments along the horizons peak

Love filled energy in my heart content, for I'm holding your hand as the time passes by I cry

Tears of sadness, gladness, and relief, along the shore I give my muscles, my foot print sinks deep

Too many feelings, too many creatures to death on the shore, no longer they live I pick them up one by one

Cover them up in a dug up hole and build a sand castle above them in their memory

Life is merely the time and the place, I now have many a love, true keepsakes

Along the path of life's shore, I walk with thee, you walk with me once more
