Amazing Girl

I’m in love with this amazing girl
She has no clue what she truly means to me
She’s my everything, she’s my world
Whenever she looks at me, my stomach gets all fuzzy
What did I do to be blessed with her
She came into my life when I needed someone the most
She came into my life when I thought I’d become a ghost
For she came and she saved my life
From an abusive man whose weapon of choice was a butcher knife
She took me away from all the abuse, and all the threats
She’s shown me true love, true respect, and I have no regrets
My ex claims I went to the dark side
But he was mad I no longer stood by his side
I believe in love, ride or die
But not abuse, torture and continuous lies
This girl, I speak of is now my fiance
We love each other, openly and freely
We have a friendship, not just a romance
I’ve fallen for her hard, and I’ve fallen so deeply
What did I do to be blessed with her
I’m not sure, But I wouldn’t change it for the world
