AMERICAN ENGLISH

American English is difficult to understand 
In this poem I will give you a helping hand 
Us Brits use the underground to go about our day 
If you were in America of course it's the subway 

French fries are America's favourite dish 
Here in England it's chips we have with our fish 
In America if you are ill you visit a drugstore 
We call it a chemist in England that is for sure 

So if you see Americans come to England on vacation 
They are having a holiday in our great nation
