American grief

Lower the moon to half mast
For American grief
The moon does not shine
On nights like this
The sun dips in grief
Hearts are heavy with pain
In the blink of an eye
A tear is formed
In grief, in pain
In disbelief
Inside this heart
Things have come apart
And the moon shall not smile again
For 50
Men and woman
Children of God

You know Jai I wonder when I walk into a comfortable place with my family and my mind keeps thinking are we safe or is there a lifeless coward planning to take innocent lives. We shouldn't have to feel like that but on the other hand maybe we should be more observing. Good write, it is very sad I pray for them and their families.
Yes I wonder where I will die
at the local KFC or shopping
centre, or if im
lucky natural causes
dangerous place the earth;
stay home maybe but then cant pay
rent; no use predicting
live each day like I read your poem
appreciate each moment blue skies
