America's Son

As the unknown soldier stood tall with pride
wearing his glory, with honor inside
His bravery leading to this land so great
proud to be an American, no matter his fate
His family so proud, this includes everyone
with our freedom protected, his job was done
An everlasting, eternal, proud glistening light
reminding us all, the importance of that fight
Fates of family, neighbors, and friends
depended upon how the fight would end
He was laid to rest, after his deed  was well done
a thankful prayer was said for America's son
As his shadow stands on that battle ground
where his honor and pride can still be found
He bares a smile with pride for the  freedom of today
no matter the price he eternally paid
Americaca's son will always have glory
passed down through generations of his stories
