An ancient oak 💚
Oh to be that ancient oak tree branching boughs up towards the sky
Awww as I stand and stare at this magnificent masterpiece there is a teardrop in my eye
Coz I can sense the sheer longevity of a living being that should never ever die
Nurturing all of our little feathered friends with those wonderful wings that can fly..

Can one just imagine all of the wondrous things that this majestic old oak has seen
As each and every notched ring around that tree trunk tells tall tales of time that has been
And it stands so proudly spreading such a glorious girth of green
Bestowing blessings for many artistic talents capturing its priceless beauty betwixt and between...

Love trees too. I saw a very old old tree in Nottingham forest tourist attraction. Looks amazing. Now trees got support to help it. It's so old. Cant recall. Need to look it up! Pxxx

A beautiful write as always Jill. We have an ancient tree up at back of me. It has a huge hollow big enough to stand in. We call it the fairy tree as it is full of magical little doors and tiny fairy sized bits and bobs. When the little ones are home we always visit and take offerings to place it in. It is out on a country lane and not obvious if you don't know about it. It is our special place 💖💖
