An Uncertain Kind of Aloneness

When we first met
her hair was
the same colour as
tropical sand
caressed by waves
and the sea ..
So when I close my
eyes slow now,
I can maybe still
find us,
on an empty beach
somewhere
and with any luck
about to become
naked ..
Although we are
never alone are we ..
They just
placed a camera
and a microphone
inside the belly
of my mandolin ..
How else can they
possibly
continue to rape
and abuse us ..
Now that our pride
and dignity are gone ..

Hi Neville, I thought this was going to be a beautifully breezy write about love, but relationships aren't breezy are they? more of a gale with plenty of destruction on route
much enjoyed

I often find there is more fun in anticipating something than there is joy in the achievement of said thing .. but not always of course .. thank you for swinging by and leaving your thoughts behind for me to savour ..
