ANATOMY

ANATOMY

With whom will she allow her heart to finally connect?

Whom shall hold the scalpel and carefully dissect?

With skilled hands of precision, a surgeon sent to mend;

Sutures of perfection, to her every wound he tends.

Stitching every rip and tear, applying careful threads;

He seeks her full recovery, to lift her from this bed.

A bed made of betrayal, of lust and horrid lies;

The bed she hid her face into, and prayed for her demise.

As the surgery proceeds this night, his focus won't avert;

His skillful hands provide the touch that she's long since deserved.

Minutes turn to hours, hours turn to days;

But he continues mending, next to her heart he stays.

He has chosen not to leave, for her heart has cried his name;

And when the last stitch pricks her heart, she will never be the same...
