Anemone

Anemone

O’ tis bittersweet bane
Β Adour a hollow disdain
Adonis, I yearn thou grace
Come hither fond embrace

Pray-tell, what I ado
To earn abiding virtue
Sweet lips thou hoard
A hunt, thine sole reward

Grave tis a beastly pursuit
Tusks an envious brute
Ares debauchery afoot
Anemone conceptions root

Fairwinds a triste refrain
Torn from mortal plane
O' teardrops most profound
Posy melancholia resound

Spectacularly Wrought, and I commend your use of complex rhyme. It's nice to see I'm not the only one who appreciates a good Ode.

Great write Lisa. Your use of word's and rhyming is truely professional. Your poem is also the title of one of my favourite Brian Jonestown Massacre tracks. Maybe you should check it out, it's very mellow.

Psychedelic is very me. Thanks for checking it out. I'm familiar with the title Whiter Shade Of Pale but I'll have to check it out.
