Angel in the Dark

You snake,
You vile creature.
Slithering into the hearts of the foolish.
You poison
Every ounce of innocents.
Because of you,
She no longer knows how to love.
Too afraid,
And bound tight.
She is broken from your grip.
Her bones are crushed,
She has not the strength to crawl away.
Heart broken.
It's a wonder that it still beats.
Your poison races through her veins,
Draining her youth,
Her love,
Her smile.
You foul beast.
I see you,
Ripping her to sheds.
How can someone be so cruel?
All she ever wanted
Was to love you.
But you take it all for granted.
Still,
For some reason she continues to care for you.
Still,
For some reason,
She chooses to see good in you.
How?
You do nothing but put her down.
She's an angel,
Who's wings are clipped,
No longer suited to fly.
Chained and weighed down,
Still looking toward the sky.
Always looking up.
Always seeing good.
What a beautiful creature.
Surrounded by the darkness you cast around her.
Wont you just free her?
