Angelic Moment

Angelic Moment

If I could steal a feather from an angel’s wing,

I'd use the quill to write you a verse more powerful than any spell.

If my eyes could express the beauty I see when you absorb the sunlight,

wildflowers beneath snow-capped mountains would lose their colour.

If my smile could express the pure joy of receiving a kiss from you,

every bride and groom would feel cheated at the altar.

If my soul could express the freedom it feels in your presence,

prophets would no longer be able to find spiritual enlightenment.

If my fears could express the way you light up a dark forest,

nobody would be afraid of the dark any longer.

If my spirit could express the way you lift it high above ominous clouds,

sinners would no longer have the compulsion to search for heaven.

If I stand on a hilltop on a moonless night and find a billion stars heading my way,

I would not make a single wish.

My destiny has arrived, and it belongs in this moment with you.

There is nothing more I can say,

I swallowed my tongue the moment you said you would stay.

Goran!  This is lovely…love and desire beautifully expressed.  You have used your "quill" well!

Thank you. It was inspired by my true Valentine (my fiancé now) in the picture above ;)
