ANGELS OF 9/11

ANGELS OF 9/11

Why did so many die

We can still hear hearts cryingĀ

Family circles are brokenĀ

Sons and daughters now rememberedĀ

By trinkets and tokensĀ

Smoke bellows under clear blue skiesĀ

Consuming flames howlingĀ

As the innocent dies

On that day of darknessĀ

My brother and I raced for our lives

Hoping to embrace our children once moreĀ

And look in the eyes of our wivesĀ

Though we may never understand God's master planĀ

His love still prevailsĀ

Not one life will go unnoticedĀ

He has recorded each Ā name

Blessed anglesĀ

The Lord has chosen you all

To be forever in His presenceĀ

Where His peace reigns continuouslyĀ

And His love will confine you within its walls.

By

Wilford Barker.

To the angles and familiesĀ

Of 9/11.
