FIRE AND BRIMSTONE

FIRE AND BRIMSTONE

Harken to my voice, thou wondering souls
The night is approaching,
And death knocks at the door.

Where in eternity will your spirit be found
If you refuse to look up today,
Ever grovelling on the ground.

To the dust all flesh shall surely return,
But the soul that rejects God
Unquenchable fire burns.

Never-ending torment will be eating away at your soul
In agony, you scream as eternity unfolds.

Where is your religion?
Or the ones you held in high esteem?
They have all fallen, like rotted trees and twice-dried leaves.

Fuel for eternal fire, the wicked shall be
But the righteous shall be with God
For all eternity.

Wilford Barker.
