An Angels Sacrifice

My heart tears 
as the shot echoes past you 
Quietly you watch 
as I fall downwards 
towards the hell beneath us.

I feel you above 
as your wings surround me 
with an angels protection.
Your white Veil of uncertainty 
brings my mind to an unknown level.

Another shot passes through you 
and unveils my thoughts 
of a life well enjoyed
Nonetheless your wings again 
salvage my thoughts of nothingness.

A third rings out as my numbing body 
falls useless to the waiting ground 
It draws me like a magnet 
knowing all my feelings
and thoughts 

as if it was expecting me 
to give myself willingly
I finally give in to fates await, but no,
again your wings take me back 
another day 

as I taste your lips, 
as I feel your insides ripped part 
to save me to another day.
It’s you and your sacrifice 
that Grants me 

one more breath as our last kiss 
echoes in the night 
that awakes to a new day, 
a day that I feel alive again 
but truly dead without you…
