Anemone
Oβ tis bittersweet shame
Β Adour's unrequited game
Adonis, I yearn thou grace
Come hither fond embrace
Pray-tell, what I ado
To earn abiding virtue
Sweetlips thou hoard
Hunt, thine sole reward
Grave tis beastly pursuit
Tusks an envious brute
Ares debauchery afoot
Anemone concepts root
Fairwinds triste refrain
Torn from mortal plane
O' teardrops profound
Melancholia posies resound

thank you Greg. Amazon has some books, and the internet is also a big help.
Amazing work Lisa, I get a sense of drama from this, but not tragedy. Very interesting and enjoyable. Best wishes to you. TFOTSΒ
Damn was going for tragedy! Thank you, Fish for stopping by.
Awww sorry Lisa! XD, we all look at poems different ways, it's an art after all. I did enjoy it though. Kind regards. TFOTSΒ
Tis okay Fish, I would prefer if all comments were as honest as yours...it challenges me to strive for better. thank you
Aww sure Lisa, but its only my perception lol! And it's not like I have been in the poetry game for that long XD. TFOTSΒ
It doesn't matter how long you've been in it, only that you do it and share the love. Hugs to you Fish
Don't think anybody writes about flowers like you Lisa...your voice is unique...lovely write π
thank you, Marion. I love flowers and mythology. I was reading about how some flowers are tied to mythology. to me it's interesting.
It is interesting...I love to read about the healing and otherwiseΒ qualities of herbs also...they have age old meaning powers and connections ...all these things Lisa...flowers speak and convey messages don't they x
Yes they do. I've always been fascinated by plants even though I have a back injury I plant a garden every spring. my husband built me two raised beds so I don't have to bend over.Β
That's sweet of him. I lived in a flat for a few years ...I think my soul died without outside space!! My garden now is filled with rambling things...happy days π€
