Poem -
Another Winter’s Eve

Winters eve
The world is quietÂ
Robed in blankets of whiteÂ
Soft,
Flakes of snow fall, cascadingÂ
One
ByÂ
OneÂ
The only sound
The constant cry of the bitter windÂ
Footsteps muffled
Icicles hangÂ
Like glittering ornaments,Â
From every branch and bough
Smoke from the chimneysÂ
Gently curl into the sky-
An endless greyÂ
The world is asleep
RestingÂ
Patiently awaiting spring.
