Another Winter’s Woes

Another Winter’s Woes

The second one is waning, of the Winter we’ve lived up north;
After twenty years in Florida, the cold months having warmth!
Our bones grow tired and weary, of the temperatures so low;
We dream of our return to Florida, when our coffers again grow!
.
The quicker will be the better, these frigid temps we can’t condone;
If only they were more moderate, we would make this our chosen home!
But each day, we suffer ills we had forgotten, in the Winter’s Florida sun;
For twenty years, we shared its beauty, why to Florida, people run!
.
Our bodies are in Ohio, but our hearts are still down there;
Yet we need to have an income, that frees us from all cares!
So we’ll stay up here a while, till we are financially secure;
Although we both are wondering, how much more we can endure!
.
.
The ice oft pelts us
The temps dip to unknown lows
Florida beckons

Dear Edward,

Wow.  I didn't realize that there was a half-hour time zone.  Such special treatment for your beautiful province.
Do you get a lot of snow?  How cold does it get there?
Thank you for your most informative comment.

Hi Larry thanks for the nice coment and sorry for huge response but it’s a complicated question.. see it used to be pretty cold with about 5 months of winter with somuch snow that we could touch the power lines lol..the world has been changing soooo much here in Newfoundland it’s geting very strang the past 5 years or so we haven’t been geting not much snow at al( on the east coast ) ..the west coast still gets lost .. but we did just get a really cold spell just like the states did a few weeks ago.. here every. Body has a skidoo but no one can use it cuz thers no snow ( on my side of the island) but ya a lot of people are really excited because or winters have been very mild and geting milder every year . I hope this satisfies your question Larry

Dear Eddy,

Yes, it's so scary.  Global warming is accelerating even more quickly than the scientists have predicted.  The oceans temperatures have risen an alarming four degrees.  The Icecaps are melting, the Polar Bears are starving, and the weather is changing all over the World.
Of course, our dumb-ass imbecile President doesn't believe in it.
Hopefully, smarter minds will prevail, and we will save our beautiful Planet.
Thank you for answering all my questions.

Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
