Anzac's

Anzac's

All lined up and ready to go,Β
for they are off to another place
where they may die or come back home.
Those brave ANZAC soldiersΒ
honoring their land,Β
hoping to be home,
for the Christmas Lamb.

Lying in a trench,
guns firing away.
A sprint through the field.
A moving target can't be slow.Β
Pulled the trigger and down they go,
struggling for life as they bled away
just wishing they were dreaming
but no luck is known.
The final breath,Β
before the unknown.Β
All you can hope
is that you'll wake up at home.Β
