Appetite for Attention

The pain I feel today
and every day
for that matter ..
Is I fear, absolutely
necessary
to at least remind me
I am alive
while you are gone ..
Yet still,
I wonder if you ever
count the days,
like I count the days ..
And for
the same reasons I do ..
I very much
doubt that you do ..
But of course
you would say you
did though ..
Now having said that
your lies
rarely had substance ..
You simply
told them because
you had
nothing better to do
at the time ..
When your appetite
for attention
then knew no bounds ..

Being Me

Awww ....  the way some people can play with the hearts of others is just horrible isn't it? A broken heart never truly recovers. At best it becomes a kinsugi ( sp?) heart and at worst a scattered mess. Scarred hearts and messy heads is how flippant lovers leave us. Your poem speaks a language I understand x

Lovely writing. I'm not sure if I have fatigue or concern myself, it seems one must go.

Love,
