Architectural Blackmail

Architectural Blackmail

There was a new client who wanted a house,
we'd give them what they asked, quiet as a mouse,
however, it was our position to advise them,
once we were done, we wouldn't go back again.

The family had an attractive single daughter,
who turned on the charm like running water;
she asked me: 'Can I have pink bedroom walls?'
I said: 'Of course,' with a view of Niagara Falls.

One day she said: 'Will you make love to me?'
I said that I could not do that, professionally, she said:
'Unless you do, I'll tell parents you touched me,'
I said: 'Please don't do that, let's work decently.'

The things that we have to endure, the price of fame,
wished I was ugly because my good looks were to blame.

A most excellent write my friend.....the temptations of life and the barriers that, once hurdled properly, help to define who we are and add to our many strengths and weaknesses....this piece is SO well conveyed that I could see it as a short film in my minds eye.....something from the LIFETIME station (big smiles).......another VERY well considered and delivered Sonnet!!......ALL STARS & PINNED!!......Kick ass brother!!......LOVE & ROCKETS!!......T xo  : )

these pitfalls in life,
I've just written another one,
not sure if it's too rude for Cosmo!
