Army Of Me

Strength and courage in my stance
Constructed this wall with only my hands
Aside from divine will ,nothings getting through
Somewhere is a gullible girl who will believe you
Yes I'm aware ,I'm artic and harsh
Manproofing my heart , just playing it smart
Protecting my myself with this Army Of Me
Eliminating all possibility is my strategy
Saving myself from heartaches hastle
By protecting my heart ,guarding it like a castle
Such a nice guy , thank you for trying
Sell someone else , because I am not buying
Really it is such a shame
I haven't always been this way
Love is a game I'm no longer interested in
But also a game I hope everyone of you win

Written three years ago after a break up and I of course was protecting myself like we all have. .I no longer need the wall but I still have always loved this one and I finally painted something I believe tells the story as wellof tthat time :)
Writing can be very cathartic at an emotional turning point ! This is a touching read at a time of change.
Good writing style with a clear perspective !
Thanks for sharing ! Â :)
Thanks <3
Thank you ! Â :) x
Hi Jamie!!..........your accompanying art is so cool..........what a great combo to have as an artist.........I enjoyed this write ......speaks to the "heart armor" we wear after having been walloped by the pain of a powerful relationship............but........I DO have a question..........what did you mean when you said ~ "Aside from magic, nothing's getting through.."?........I'm asking because I write a blog on Metaphysics and I used to work at a Magic Shop............so those kinds of references ALWAYS peek my curiosity..........anyway, sorry for rambling on like this!!..............keep 'em coming sweet poetess!.............Love and Rockets!!...........T xo
That was written in 2013 .and meant to change that part to Divine will .and will do so now ;) So glad you pointed that out !
