As The Dust Settles

As The Dust Settles

As the dust settles,
And the air clears:

What will life become?
A time for growth, and change...
For an evolution of mankind.

Or shall it trevel us,
Into a darker age of man?
Where integrity and dignity
Are not to be found.

Shall we still know kindness
Toward others,
In benevolent actions?

When the dust settles,
And the air clears:

Will children still know innocence;
While society stands still?

Or will the reckoning come,
And all be but lost?

I pray that days such as these,
Never plague our lives;
Nor future generations to come.

Yet these questions arise,
As they duly must.
Shall only we have the insight
To ask them.

As the dust settles,
And the air clears.

Very well conveyed Daniel - I also wonder what will become of mankind.
