Ashes

Ashes

Today
The perfect day
Sunny and dry
Everyone free
The time was right
The day was right
We went to scatter
Our mum's
Final ashes
In the sunny river
And say goodbye

Reunited with
The Earth, Wind, Water and Fire
One last time
We see them disappear
Into the river
The final remains
Now clearly visible
From the reflective side
Now touched by the elements
That created it
To the ashes
We said goodbye

A very sad event Pratibha.
How difficult it is to see our love ones go.
Especially our loving parents.
So sorry for the loss of your mom.
And what a beautiful tribute to her on this day.
wishing your entire family my sympathy and condolences.
Wilford.

Thank you Wilford for reading, your lovely comment and the lovely pin. Bit surreal at times even though I know everything that's happened. We are grateful with the time that we had. Pxxx💜🙏🏽

Thank you Tony. That is what I was thinking about when I thought about the ashes, how our material state just goes back into the natural elements. Just wanted to capture the day in words. Glad it came across well. Thank you kindly for reading and pin. Pxxx🙏🏽

I don't want to say any words P...just send you a huge hug which won't help at all but is on its way to you regardless. I have found writing to be a place of refuge...a place to relieve the pressure in my head, I sincerely hope it helps you too 💞💞💞

Your massive hug is digitally received. Thank you Marion.
Yes I completely agree with you...writing has been a salvation when thoughts are scrambled with emotions. Just recently since our mum passed away, my brother told me he has been writing nearly everyday. It's the best way to express it and there is no right or wrong. Pxxx big hugs back 🙏🏽💜💜💜

It is exactly like Marion has said there are no words to truly express the  loss of a dearly loved and treasured family member Pratibha.
And so evident that your writing helps, be it large or small, for as long as it aids one along then stick close to it and keep using it whenever possible.
Words will always be there Pratibha and so will your family members and they are the ones that truly count and console.
A respectfully dignified and touching tribute to one who is always remembered by many.🙏

Hi Shaun. Thanks for reading. You are totally right. Writing has been my one constant and it's been good to express this way. And I'm doing ok. Remember little things.
Good to see you back on here. Pxxx

Pratibha and it's a good thing good to see you back and things change nearly for the better for everyone, albeit slowly, but at least they change and in the right direction.
For even the little things, those small steps are a start.
And with comments like yours my friend, it's good to be back after recent events.
Keep writing and lose yourself in words if need be, but you're never truly adrift or alone, for your family will bring you home. x.
