Negation of a Whisper

Negation of a Whisper  

As time would pass and I began to mature,
Developed a sickness for self I could never cure.

Found myself in situations which always turned out worse.
Constantly thought it was too late I’d been put under a curse.

My testimony’s a long one full of strife and defeat.
As I walked in darkness I could hear  a whisper that was so sweet;

“Son what are you doing way of this lighted path?
There are evil -things in the darkness, I pray that you come back!”

“Please come back over here  where you can clearly see
We can use this guiding light for all eternity.”

As I ignored these warnings from a source of continued  love,
I would slip a little farther but he would keep my head above.

I would often falter but was never allowed to fail
Because of my hearts condition I could smell the putrid breath of Hell.

My testimony’s a long one full of strife and defeat.
Still, as I walked in darkness I could hear a whisper that was so sweet;

“Son, what are you doing way of this lighted path?
There are evil-things in the darkness. . . please come back”.

Once again I found myself although I was never truly lost.
ALL that I have searched for never left the cross.

Wherever I may wonder or sins I may partake.
There will always be a whisper which I hear at every moments wake;

“Son, I Love you, yours sins no I longer track
 Stay in the light, but I will always take you back”

“Please stay over here where you can clearly see.
This is where you belong for all eternity.”
