Asian Elves

Asian Elves

In the valley of
industrial commerce
smokestacks billow
round the clock profits
beneath the Chinese
smog cloud ...

Worker bees are a buzz

Tipping point imminent

Repressed slave factory workers
go out on a wildcat strike

Demanding a ten cent hourly raise
for the overpriced products
they collectively mass produce

Seeking a few more crumbs
from the bulging corporate pie

Modern robber barons
run the spreadsheet calculations

This expense does
not fit their exploitation model

A frantic call is made
to their commie warlord partners

All the rogue labor leaders
are summarily rounded up

Shipped off in chains
to "re-education" camps

The strike is shattered

Furnaces fire back on

Disruptive peasants
have been put back in their place

Back to the grinding assembly line
with their tails between their legs
Resume cranking out
mass volume merchandise

Destined to be
neatly boxed and wrapped
to lie under
foreign Christmas trees

Somewhere away in a manger

Baby Jesus weeps
