Asleep

Asleep

Drop by drop it trickled-

The viscous dark of a

Tired sluggish night, and

In inky hairline whorls

Began to seep into the

Milky silver of the moon,

Slow and deliberate.

Scary it seemed yet it wasn't;

Only of a mesmerizing beauty,

Like a divine masterpiece

Hypnotically painted,

For my very eyes,

Right besides me, as I see

Your dark wavy locks slowly

Fall hauntingly over

Your tender sleeping Face.
