Asleep in my arms
Awake and away
It's 3:40 in the morningĀ
and the sky is
stillĀ pitch black
from the night beforeĀ
I awoke from dreamingĀ
still wishfully thinkingĀ
she was in my armsĀ
It's 3:40 in the morningĀ
and my heart is
still pitch blackĀ
from our faded loveĀ
I awoke from dreamingĀ
still wishfully thinkingĀ
she was in my arms
It's 3:40 in the morningĀ
and her presence is
still pitch blackĀ
from when she leftĀ
I awoke from dreamingĀ
to this nightmareĀ
realizing forever she is goneĀ
It's 3:40 in the morningĀ
and I'm forever lonely
soul pitch blackĀ
since she left homeĀ
I wanna sleep nowĀ
wishfully dreaming of herĀ
