AT ONE WITH NATURE

Do you remember down by the river
where the weeping willow bent low
Do you remember the purple heather
and the blue bells abloom in the meadow
Do you remember where we sat in the fields
and made daisy chains just for fun
Do you remember those days when we jumped
in the river under the hot summer sun
Do you remember how we would look for tadpoles
and be excited to see they`d grown legs
Do you remember when they had grown in to frogs
and them hopping away to the river beds
Do you remember the picnics that we`d have
jam sandwiches like door stops and a bottle of pop
Do you remember we would camp out under the stars
tell stories till our eyes so tired would drop
Oh yes i remember my childhood the happy times
just being a kid,and at one with nature
And yes i remember not thinking ahead
a life yet to live, not a care for the future

Hello Sis Debs...
Ahh yes those memories...
I remember running into the house covered head to toe in mud...
Carrying my first snake...
Excitedly yelling look what I found Mom!
I didn't understand why she wasn't as excited to see it like I was...
How she wanted a little girl...
I had all the parts of a girl...
I just liked snakes, bugs, frogs, and...
Climbing trees...
Going super fast down a hill with a sled I couldn't steer...
I didn't see a problem with any of it...
Great write!
Thank you for the memories...
Hugs and Smiles!
