At this time of year

At this time of year

Shopping sprees and jingle bells
Christmas trees with festive smell
wrapped gifts look all so well
at this time of year.
Carol singers with silent night
log fires burn oh so bright
miseltoe and fairy lights
at this time of year.
Family home from far away
here for this yuletide day
adults chat and children play
at this time of year.
But most of all in our glee
as we party round the tree
remember those in difficulty
at this time of year.

Wonderful rhyme scheme used throughout. I like the repeating line:

at this time of year

Well written, short and sweet holiday poem.

Thank you for sharing your poem.

Favorite Part:

But most of all in our glee
as we party round the tree
remember those in difficulty
