“Atishoo” Atashoo”

“Atishoo” Atashoo”

I started sneezing in the superstore, Well I just couldn’t stop

So “Atichoo atashoo”, I ran out the shop

I stood in the carpark with my shopping trolley
“Atishoo atashoo”

Passerby’s said
“Oh my golly”

So I put the trolley away and I got in my car

“Atishoo atashoo”, this is so bizarre

It must be an allergy, coz I’d sneezed thirty times or more

People were stood outside of my motor and knocking on my door

Then “Atichoo atashoo”, this went on and on

I was wanting a pee, Oh how I wish this was gone

But explosions of air was gusting out my gob

There was a toilet in the carpal, that was a dam good job

So I ran to the loo but on the way, well I was “Atishooin atashooin”, was all I could say,

Blast and  blitherarions I wish this sneezing would go away..

At least I had a pee tho , it cost me 30 pence

I should have went in the supermarket
If I’d had any sense

Then as I was belchin’ and a’bawlin’ with many more sneezes

My chest was getting tight with woozy wheezes

But then I saw a workman on a rideon machine

He was going back and forth cutting grass that was luscious green

“Atichoo” atashoo”
I had an alleric reaction

I was at my wits end with darn dissatisfaction

So I left my car coz I was sneezing so bad

I’d rang my friend to pick me up and she landed with her Dad

I love Mother nature with her birds and her bees..

And the fluttering butterflies in amongst tall oak trees

But grass is a thing that makes me so ill

It shall be the death of me one day it will..

As soon as grass cutters are out in force

Well I sneeze my head off with an allergy of course

So if you see me wearing a mask over my mouth ,when I walk in the Spring

I won’t have Coronavirus, don’t you fret about that thing!!

Coz i’ll be coughing and a sneezing, and needing a wee

Whilst grass is getting cut with my blinking’ allergy!…

Jill your poem says it all and yes when the grass is cut it seems all hell breaks loose with pollen in the air and hay fever and asthma.
A fine poem telling how it is and nothing to sneeze at either.
Thanks Jill and more to read tomorrow night the land of nod calleth me. x.
And nearly forgot to say but some of the girls swear by antihistamine tablets for fighting allergies if that helps your plight.

Just caught your comment and to be honest I have never taken one that's been kindly offered, mind over matter and all that, which always leaves me with a thumping headache!!
And do they work for you.
I mean really work, like instant relief after 5 minutes as the girls in work say.
Suppose it depends on one's dna and metabolism for them to take affect.
I'll just stick with Assam tea and I only drink that because it has the word Ass in it.
Anyway good luck Jill and the Autumn rains will keep the pollen down then we can all catch double pneumonia this winter!
It's good to be Welsh and look on the bright side of life.🤣
