Attunement
When the stars became too heavy to reign my skyย
You caught my dreamsย
and kissed the shadows goodbyeย
Ever content to hold my handย
As time spilled
like windswept sand beneath our feetย
You became my beaconย
The lighthouse to my wayward shipย
Its anchor
and retreatย ย
Groundedย
I found you sinkingย
Cradling so many dreamsย
In hope I might sense your love for meย
Unawareย
that I...simply needed...youย
I took your flailing dreamsย
and placed them inside my own
Gave your wishes centre thrownย
Then kissed your troubled heartย
Your eyes met with mine
For the first time in many moonsย
We croonedย
Forever readyย
Hands held steadyย
Our souls at last attunedย
