Attunement

When the stars became too heavy to reign my sky
You caught my dreams
and kissed the shadows goodbye
Ever content to hold my hand
As time spilled
like windswept sand beneath our feet
You became my beacon
The lighthouse to my wayward ship
Its anchor
and retreat
Grounded
I found you sinking
Cradling so many dreams
In hope I might sense your love for me
Unaware
that I...simply needed...you
I took your flailing dreams
and placed them inside my own
Gave your wishes centre thrown
Then kissed your troubled heart
Your eyes met with mine
For the first time in many moons
We crooned
Forever ready
Hands held steady
Our souls at last attuned

I'm late here Gwen, but seems to me the perfect Valentine's poem for that somebody special in one's life.
Beautiful words and images that works both ways, a poem from the heart of a woman to her loved one and vice versa.
Real soul mate writing at its best.
Thanks my friend for a great write and a poem of true love and light.
