Autumn
![Autumn](https://cosmofunnel.com/sites/default/files/styles/full/public/2021-08/201604179099.jpg?itok=LU2SUcEM)
On appealing Autumn days,
No other thoughts have I.
Just to don my hiking boots,
And walk beneath God's sky.
I wander over hill and vale,
And banish every worry.
No frown lingers on my brow,
For I'm never in a hurry.
All greens, golds and browns.
Are dancing with the breeze,
God's had His paintbrush out,
And touched up all the trees.
From sparkling gems to firelight's glow,
He chose each tint with care.
Mixed them up with gentle rains,
To paint the scene shown there.
Some people have more money, yes,
But as long as I can see.
The riches growing all around,
I'll humbly thankful be.
Dedicated to Margaret and Ray who I met today
03/08/2021 at 16.15 P.M at The Enchanted Poetry Bench
outside St Fagan's Museum.
It was a pleasure to meet you and thank you for visitingÂ
and for bringing the glorious sunshine with you.
Another poem follows you hopefully might enjoy called Spring Awakens.
May God Bless and Keep you and all the loved ones around you and
enjoy life and the good things it can happily bestow.
I wish you both well and hope to meet you again.

Spring Awakens
I wander down the quiet paths,
With happy thoughts of Spring.
And peek into each dusky nook,
Where many tiny flowers cling.Â
In this season jack in the pulpit,
Dons his frock of brown and green.
And tells his band of wood folk,
How to all live a life serene.
The clear white petals of bloodroot,
Shine from its green-land bower.
Clever people still make perfume,
From roots of this fragrant flower.
And the violet, shy and retiring,
Lifts its dainty little head.
On the banks of a sparkling pool,
In its lovely scented bed.
The frail white petals of anemone,
Do their best to catch my eye.
Since they're dressed so modestly,
One could easily pass them by.
Hepatica, with its new Spring dress,
In sweet lavenders delicate hue.
Displays with understandable pride,
The work Mother Nature can do.
The wonder of the great outdoors,
Brings peace and calm and rest.
And those close to quiet woods,
Are so surely greatly blessed.

wonderful poem as always

Oh wow I loved reading this one Shaun. Autumn is a colourful season. You painted it perfectly here. Giving the reader the visual of this earth being Gods canvas. The sense of paint splashing on the trees was beautiful. And I must say I do love the painting you have chosen to put to this poem. The colour and reflection in the water are truly lovely on the eye, complimenting your words perfectly. Your final stanza sums it up. Money is definitely not everything, and feeling rich can simply be found in the joy of nature and the beauty this planet holds
You are truly gifted with your pen my friend and again your kindness shines with this dedication.
Never change Shaun, you are always a delight to readÂ

Great intensity to some lines to really bring home the character of the season and the changing of the wind and tides. Does make you feel the true wonder of natural transformations as you explore them.
Thanks for sharing. :)
Who needs summer ? :)
