Autumn

As I wander beside the river today
I marvel at the colours on display
The tree lined path I amble along
Crunches underfoot creating a song

I watch a red leaf fall delicately
A patch nature's woven intricately
To a quilt of crimson orange and gold
A beautiful tapestry my eyes do behold

Tree bark I see is cinnamon dusted
A fallen branch seems to of rusted
The sudden crispy air and cloudy skies
Is all signalling the season nature dies

Hi Shelley. This is a lovely poem that captures some of the imagery that I see while out and about during Autumn. ´´Crunches underfoot creating a song´´ is a great line. Really enjoyed reading this gem of a poem. Thank you!
