Poem -
Autumn Moon
Bright light
of the dark sky,
the black tree
has cast its rune.
Conjurer of spells
to awaken the owl´s eyes,
blood red and blue.
Fading to hide
in the morning sky,
stone white and cool,
a charming mask
in the fantasies of cats,
serene in their mischievious
eyes and mood.

Hi Marion, hope you are very well. Thank you for your lovely comment. As an outdoor person I adore the moon too, a constant companion when in the mountains. I wrote this after coming down a mountain in the light of the last full moon, a magical experience. If you are interested in astronomy, the Draconid meteor showers are in the sky during October. x
Hi Tony, thankyou so much for that advice. I adore the cosmos and am trying to learn more from the net. I have a telescope and binoculars, can you recommend any good informative star gazing websites that I can go on to keep up on the latest events? I shall certainly be keeping my eye out for the Draconic meteor showers...thankyou ?
Hi Marion, hope you are very well. It´s great that you have a telescope and binoculars but you can see a lot of sky activity with the naked eye. If there is a clear sky with no artificial light pollution, it´s amazing what is going on above our heads. The Draconid Meteor showers are visible until the end of October. Stargazing.com and Stellarium are great websites that have interactive sky maps, Nasa have some interesting websites too. I hope you find this information useful. xx

I love Autumn for its colours but I also love the winter for its crisp days of frost and the Spring for its newness and of course I love the Summer too (the sunshine and days spent in Tshirts and shorts, what's not to love about summer?).
