Autumn sunshine
Golden leaves
Autumn sunshine,
golden leaves,
walking on sand,
feeling the ocean Ā breeze .
listen to the waves,
until evening comes,
Fun disappears,
darkness instead of sun.
rustling of the trees,
the wind picks up,
twirling golden leaves,
pour the tea in your cup,
sit by the fire,
cozy and warm,
fall asleep happy,
till early morn.Ā
a new day arrives,
a fresh beginning,
start your life joyful,
with a smile and singing.Ā

Why is it your favourite time of year?
Everything you just mentioned, plus I just love the darker evenings as the clocks turn back, the smell of open fires start burning everywhere. Not hot weather but still not too cold. Putting on them favourite PJs, reading a book or writing poetry or a novel. Lots of tea, and a cheeky brandy. Perfect time of year.Ā
Great hiking weather too, through crunching leaves and muddy fields and flame and ember sunset skies, to a thousand year old pub of old ship oak and timber beams, to bathe in friends warmth and light and plan summerĀ“s dreams, now pass me that cheeky Brandy! :)Ā Happy Autumn! :)
