Family

Taught

Family

Family is treasure
Ruby, diamonds,and gold
But for some unknown reason
We won’t realise until we’re old
We take each day for granted
Like our life will never end
But just before you know it
We lose our love, our sister our friend.
All the things unsaid
All the things we never done
All the hugs just faded
Just like the midday sun.
Families in turmoil
Hearts don’t know what to feel
Looking to each other
Wondering if this is real
We hold each other’s wall up
As it comes crumbling down
Families stick together
Try to lift the frown.
We take each day more seriously,
We now realise life is short
Cherish your family forever
That’s what losing someone taught.
