AWARENESS (DCMT)

Treading so softly
Dont want to offend
But if you don't know
How will it end
Posting the graphic
You switch off the screen
These barbaric customs
Remain hidden, unseen
If I send emails
You will not read
You don't want to know
Of man's torture and greed
And if in the streets
You see me pass by
Placard in hand
Tear in my eye
 And if I should hand you
Petitions to sign
You walk by so quickly
Deaf, dumb and blind
So twitter 
And facebook
And videos I'll use
To make you aware
Of dogmeat abuse
And if I then publish
A poem to read
It's my way of trying
To end with great speed
This evil industry
And make you aware
That this thing is real
And persuade you to care
But you do not read
And I live in despair.
