Away at sea

You sailed away for good this time.

Disappeared over the horizon never to see you the way you were again.

Sometimes when i'm in my weakest place i hear you call my name in the wind.

My knees always buckle and i fall right back off  that cliff that I walked away from long ago.

I bellow at the thought of you returning to my lands but i cry at the empty space you’ve left in my heart.

I dont know what hurt more , keeping you here as a prisoner or seeing you sail away as a free man ?
