Baby It’s Cold Outside

Inspired by Tony Taylor’s lovely poem “Winters Come”
.
My Linda has not seen the snow, for over twenty years;
I tell her not to worry so, try allay all of her fears!
For two decades now, we’ve lived down South, where the Winters are so mild;
But Fate has brought us to the North, to live up here a while!
.
Her Doctors told her not to go, that cold is not her friend;
But in order that our coffers grow, time here we now must spend!
Hopefully by next year this time, we’ll be financially secure;
And spend Winters back down in Florida, the snow not have endure!
.
So my sweetest Soulmate, I promise I will keep you warm;
I will hold you very closely, during every icy storm!
Outside it will be freezing, but in my arms you’ll feel such heat;
Bound together with all our passion, Mister Winter we shall beat!
