BACK IN MY DREAMS

BACK IN MY DREAMS

You were coming up as I was going down,
passing by thro' clouds over my home town,
what kind of a life was it like down there,
was Jason Bourne still running without a care?

Was Mrs. George selling sweets at the corner store,
Marion at dry cleaners found less definitely more,
my stiff collar hung around a light on the wall,
not enough to win at strip poker after all.

Told to just drive after hitting another car,
too much damage, we might not get very far;
the bottles in trash can piled up after party,
how we managed to walk was a mystery.

You looked the same as we started to flash by,
but I was different after meeting God in the sky.
